Jacqueline Fernandez grew up in Bahrain, Manama. She is Sri Lankan and comes from a multiethnic background. Jacqueline's parents are Malaysian and from Sri Lanka. The father of Jacqueline is Elroy Fernandez is from Sri Lanka. She is the younger of two brothers and an older brother. Due to the war that raged in Sri Lanka that her parents made the decision to relocate to Bahrain. Following her education in Bahrain and after that, she received an Scholarship to study at the University of Sydney, where she earned a diploma in Media and Communications in Sydney, Australia. With a love of the world of languages and cultures, she joined the Berlitz school of languages, which is where she began to learn Spanish as well as improve her French and Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March of 2006, and later participated as Miss Universe 2006 also. In the wake of her winning the 2006 Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone entered the television world and hosted a show about Sri Lankan business known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the mother of former badminton players Prakash Padukone) was born and raised in Bangalore. While still a teenager, Padukone played in many national badminton tournaments. But she gave up the sport when she decided to become a fashion model. Padukone is of Mangalorean roots and speaks Konkani as her primary language. Padukone is a village located situated in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi located in Karnataka State of India is where her family originates. Prakash Padukone was a badminton legend who retired in the late 1980s. Her mother, a travel agency also comes from this area.
